April 14th 2019 Chawton. Carrion Crows are common and widespread in Surrey & Hampshire nesting begins in late February.

Chaffinches are very common in Surrey & Hampshire as well as across the British Isles. They are resident and breed widely all over Surrey & Hampshire.

Juvenile Collared Doves just fledged. Collared Doves are UK residents they are common and widespread throughout Surrey & Hampshire.

Cuckoo's are summer migrants to the UK arriving from mid April and leaving again in July & August. They now only occur locally in Surrey & Hampshire and are in decline across the UK. They favour Dunnocks, Reed Warblers, Pied Wagtails, and Meadow Pipits as hosts for their egg.

Dunnocks are resident, common & widespread throughout Surrey & Hampshire as well as across the UK, they begin nesting in early to mid April. Dunnocks are often chosen by Cuckoos as hosts.

Great Tits are common & widespread across Surrey & Hampshire. They are resident birds in the UK nesting from April to September.

Greenfinches are locally common in Surrey & Hampshire, they are resident and slowly increasing again after a recent sudden decline. They nest from mid April to late August.
